Week 51: Spiritual High
Have you ever felt a spiritual high? I'm sure you have at some point and can't come up with the proper words to describe the feeling. I'm totally in the same boat, especially after this week. There were two powerfully spiritual moments that lifted my spirits above the clouds. With that being said, I thought it would only be proper to inform you on them. ;)
It was Tuesday morning. Elder Møller and I were in the middle of personal study. A call from a friend that I previously taught in an old area startled us both. We answered and soon discovered that this person was in desperate need of help. We called all sorts of people in both the Odense wards to see if they could assist us but no one was able to. We got permission from President Olsen to borrow Odense 2's car and drive down to give a blessing. When we first arrived, this person was pale faced and very frightened. We calmed this person down and proceeded to anoint oil, seal the anointing, and give a blessing. After the blessing was given, there was a noticeable difference in this person's appearance and demeanor. There was an inexplicable sense of joy that was present in that house. We left that place feeling grateful for the priesthood and trusted the Lord to watch over this person. We knew that His will would be best.
It was Wednesday morning. Elder Møller and I had driven to Frederiksberg the previous evening for this special event and could hardly wait any longer. We, namely Elder Møller, his parents, Elder Jensen, and I, were walking to the grounds of the Copenhagen Denmark temple and were greeted by family members and close friends as we entered into the House of the Lord. The endowment session began, with a limited number of people allowed, face masks required, and constant hand sanitizing. Even with these added precautions, it was a glorious experience in which sacred covenants were made and renewed. It was absolutely wonderful to review the Law of Obedience, the Law of Sacrifice, the Law of the Gospel, the Law of Chastity, and the Law of Consecration. I cherished every single second that I spent inside the temple. The peace and comfort in that house was extraordinary and it was fairly difficult to exit the front doors when the time came to leave. There is such a special spirit found therein that cannot be duplicated anywhere else.
I hope that you will remember the spiritual highs in your life. I hope that you will remember what you have learned from these amazing experiences. I hope that you will remember to seek for more of these precious moments.
Love from Odense,
Ældste Moore
