So this week I started experimenting with meditation and mindfulness after prayer. I never thought I'd get so pumped about sitting still in my entire life. 😆 It's really helpful for focusing on the moment and improving that body/soul connection. I would highly recommend trying it out! Give it a go and you'll be amazed! The next step I'm gonna take is to add yoga to the mix. Maybe that'll amplify the effects. 😀
I don't have that many updates to share this week. We went to the zoo last P-day, which was quite the safari. We did have an average of one lesson per day. The entire ward will finally meet on Sunday and we can finally eat with members. Hallelujah!! We made a new friend, Maria. She was a referral from the APs. She had apparently already been watching the church's Bible videos so we sent her a link to the church's Book of Mormon videos as well. We met with Rebekka in person to watch the mission's very first livestream. It only lasted 15 minutes so we talked a little about it afterward. We helped Isabella, a sweet lady, move some things into her storage vault. We played basketball with the Nørrungs a couple times and visited Eric, our mission leader. We discussed the possibility of Facebook finding splits in the future. We'll see how that goes.
Since not much happened this week, I thought to share what I learned this week. I learned that weaknesses are meant to humble us, help us grow, and motivate us to come closer to Christ. I learned that work needs to be put in to maintain a strong testimony. We had another fireside with John Bytheway and I really liked how he compared life to a garden. If we want good things in our garden. we have to put them there. Weeds, on the other hand, will come out of nowhere, spontaneously, uninvited. That shows that we need to put in the work to find the good and remove the bad. Makes sense to me! Make sure to keep putting in the spiritual, mental, intellectual, and physical work every day!
